MUNAWAR IQBAL FARUQUI (born on 28th January 1992) is a popular Indian Stand-up Comedian and rapper too. In 2022' he won the KANGANA RANAUT's reality TV show, Lock up season 1.Currently he is a contestant of Indian reality show Bigg Boss 17, which commenced on October 2023.  

EARLY LIFE 



Munawar Faruqui  was born on JUNAGADH, GUJARAT, ON 28Th January 1992 to a Gujarati Muslim Family. His father lost  the money and came under a huge debt. Due to financial problems he left school after 5th class, He started to work to make the ends meet. Still a child, he worked at a gift shop and later joined his mother and grandmother in making and selling samosa and chaklis. His mother suicide when he was 14 years old. He addressed the reason in the reality show Lock up that She borrowed 3500 rupees from someone and she cant repay it so for that reason his mom attempted  Suicide,   After his mother's death  he relocated to Mumbai at his aunt's request. He started to do some odd jobs in Mumbai. In 2020,his Father passed away suffering from paralysis.  


CAREER   




He is a Standup comedian and rapper too. In April 2020, he uploaded a standup comedy video named "DAWOOD,YAMRAJ AND AURAT" on his channel ,which earned him his initial stardom. He released his debut song "JAWAB" IN collaboration with Indian musician Spectra in August 2020

On 28th February 2021, he uploaded a standup comedy video name "GHOST STORY"on his YouTube channel  in which the charachter Aba kaadar and his friends became So famous.

In 2022 he became a contestant on Balaji Telefilms's reality show Lock Upp hosted by Kangana Ranaut. On 8th may 2022 he was declared as a winner of that season. That show was streamed on OTT platforms  ALTBalaji  and MX player.

On 5th November 2022, he did a Punjabi song named "TODH" along with Prince Narula and Rony Anjali  

Currently he is in Indian Reality Show Bigg Boss 17 also streamed in OTT platform JioCinema. hosted By SALMAN KHAN, produced by EndemolShine  India through Viacom 18 and Disney Star.

PERSONAL LIFE 



MUNAWAR FARUQUI married Jasmine in 2017 but the marriage ended in a divorce 2022. Th ex couple has a five year old son .Since December 2021, HE had been dating Social Media influencer NAZILA SITASHI. And In BIGG BOSS, his Ex Partner Ayesha Khan accused him for two timing her and Sitashi. NAZILA SITASHI broke up with him On INSTAGRAM live, accusing him for cheating 
However, WE had Listen to the one side story we don't know the double side story so we cant say anything or we can't judge people by it However, Munawar is the Good Person attractive person  by everything. 

ARREST AND CONTROVERSY

MUNAWAR FARUQUI  was on his tour where he was performing comedy in different cities of India. On 1st January 2021, he performed a stand-up comedy show at Munro Cafe in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, which was interrupted by Eklavya singh gaur, son of BJP MLA MALINI GAUR . accusing him of making Milicious jokes about Hindu Deities and the Minister  of home affairs of India ,Amit Shah . On 2nd January hw was arrested By Madhya Pradesh police in the midst of his comic act, stating  that he was arrested under  the Hate Speech laws in India. The Police however, had no evidence against Munawar Faruqui, Still arrested him. In that tough times His Best Friend SADAQAT KHAN  WAS WITH HIM EVERY TIME which tells the Friendship between him and  Munawar Faruqui. 

His arrest was heavily criticised for not respecting  a comedian's freedom of speech, including  by a joint initiative of the global India diaspora on 2nd February 2021, that said a group  of South  Asian  American Stand-up comedians will perform a virtual comedy show on 6th February  2021 to show their solidarity  with Jailed Faruqui. HE was Subsequently granted bail by the Supreme Court of India. He Spent 37 days in Jail.
